Talk Personal Finance – Week 19

Hey there my friends! Jeff here.

Yes, I am still alive!

It has been a while since my last post and an update is long over due.

Before I go any further, I just want to emphasize that I am not giving up on this blog and will be here for a long time to come, well at least till I become financially free.

In fact, I plan to get back into the game and posts will be coming more frequently from now on.

So here is what I have been up to in the last couple of months.

The Winter Storm

In Jim Rohn’s The Seasons of Life, he compares life to the seasons. The quick summary is that everyone will have to go through each of the 4 seasons: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.

I will not go into too much details right now but the book was a very interesting read. Perhaps I will even do a book review later on.

Anyhow, the reason why you have not heard from me in the last couple of months was because I have been stuck in the season of Winter.

My personal winter was long and depressing. I felt underproductive the entire time and I didn’t get much done.

I had spent a lot of time in bed and on menial activities such as television.

Don’t worry, I am no longer in that season anymore. But if you are, here is a video that has helped me through my winter that may encourage you.

My Venture into Internet Marketing

Now that I have begun to become more productive, I have been spending most of my time trying to earn some passive income through internet marketing.

For the most part, I am still learning the ins and outs of affiliate marketing and have even done some experimentation.

If you are unfamiliar with what affiliate marketing is, the concept behind it is to sell other people’s product for a commission.

The key to affiliate marketing comes in building your email list and promoting products to them through email marketing.

So far, I have built a list of 200 subscribers in the fitness niche that I am exploring. Unfortunately, I have yet to make a sale.

Anyhow, I will be writing a more detailed post in the near future when I actually make some progress. But this is what I have been spending most of my time doing at the moment.

Perhaps, I will focus on building my list for Million Endeavour in the near future as well.

How have you been? Did I miss anything new in the financial world during my absence? I would love to hear from you.
